If your existing bathroom shower fixture is outdated, you may want to replace it with a waterfall shower head.  Waterfall shower heads can greatly improve your overall experience in the shower.  The best part about waterfall showerheads is that they are less prone to mineral build up.

If you have an issue with hard water in your area, you can also consider purchasing and installing a water softener.  Water softeners work by reducing the hardness of your water.  Your skin will thank you as well, as you will not feel as dry, flaky or chalky in the winter time.

Waterfall shower heads are designed to mimic the natural flow of water in nature.  Keep in mind however, that your home waterfall may not feel the same.  Home waterfall heads are usually limited to 2.5 gpm in water flow.  There is usually an internal rate flow limiter.  Removing this device can also be helpful if you wish to increase the water pressure.

Installing multiple shower fixtures can also make your showering experience much more luxurious.  This is similar to creating a human car wash, by pointing water jets at your body from multiple places.  If you wish to install multiple water heads, you will most likely want to install a recirculation pump.

Your home water supply is limited by the diameter of your incoming water pipe.  Your home was not designed to give you amazon waterfall showers.  The best option is to use a mechanical device (i.e. water pump).  What this does is it keeps a certain amount of water in a closed circulation system, similar to a swimming pool or Jacuzzi.

The water is continually forced through the system at a high rate.  The mechanical pumps can dramatically increase your water pressure.  In addition, you are not using additional water as you are actually recycling water through the system.  This will also help keep your overall water bill down as well.

By installing a water pump for your rainfall shower head, you can dramatically increase your overall shower experience.
