I’ve owned a few mini notebooks over the years and I have mine with me all the time. Daily I get questions asking why I carry one versus a laptop and how could I spend $200 dollars on one when you can get a laptop for $300. The point really isn’t the cost though, it’s the convenience. They extremely portable and functional at the same time. Most people don’t see the need until they own one.

Portable – Mini notebooks are small, that’s no secret. Until you pick one up or throw one in your bag though, you really can’t appreciate just how small they are. Most times the pictures on the intenet don’t do them justice. That is why I carry one around. Because most times I don’t even notice that I’m carrying it. It truly is that small and light.

Convenient – Whether it’s a meeting or seminar the mini notebook works great at taking notes without bothering others around you with a large laptop or loud laptop from the coolings fans. The battery also seems to last longer and longer on the new mini notebooks making those all day seminars a snap to take organized and legible notes on without having to write all day, only to have to type on the notes at a later time.

Mini laptops aren’t right for everyone. Most people say they don’t see the need for a second laptop when they already have one. Hopefully though I’ve given you some food for thought on why you might benefit from any of the great ones available. If you still aren’t convinced search the internet a bit and read some reviews. Most will complain about little things like the keyboard, but in the end they always recommend them as a great buy and talk about how once they’ve owned one for a few weeks they now look back and can’t imagine not having one.
