I always love to wear a college sweatshirt even if I am not going to school. It makes me somehow proud of being a student of a particular school. Wearing it will give you some sort of happiness that you belong to a group, that you are an extension of your school’s family of students as well as your biological parents.

If you open my closet, you will see a number of the college sweatshirts that I own. They vary considerably in designs and colors. Some have the University’s name on it and some have the name of the groups and fraternities that I belong to. For quite some time now, I have been pondering on the thought of creating my own college sweatshirt. I want it to look more personalize and unique from the ones that I bought at school and in a few specialty specialty shops around town.

Thanks to a friend of mine, I was able to get a few tips for my own personalized college sweatshirt. Creating one doesn’t require you to sew, print, or embroider it yourself. You can pay someone to do that part of the process for you. What is important is that you have your own design.

Here are some of the tips in making a personalized sweatshirt which I got from a good friend. The first thing that is needed to be done is to choose the materials. To make things easier, I bought a good plain colored sweatshirt. The fabric was great and I was so sure that I will make me feel really comfortable. It is important to choose something that will make you comfortable. Remember that you are the one who is going to wear it so you had better choose one that you really like.

Then, I started to create the design. Just like most of the college sweatshirts, the name of the campus or the name of the brotherhood should be shown. So, I included this in the design. I preferred to place it on the front of the sweatshirt.

At the back of my sweatshirt, I included my last name to make it look really customized. I also added some tribal designs to make the shirt really attractive. Now, I have my own version of a college sweatshirt that reflects my own personality. Every time  I wear it, people always ask where I bought it, where did I have it made, or where they could get one.

You too can make your own college sweatshirt. It is really not that hard. I would recommend that you use a plain sweatshirt so that you can freely add your own designs without destroying its appearance. For me, black is preferable. Plus, plain sweatshirts are also very cheap to buy.
