A curtain rod does more than just hold up your drapes. It is part of the style of your room. On the low end or most affordable side of the price scale we have the laminate countertop material. Laminate worktops are the most cost effective material that you can buy. They are composed of a thin laminate veneer that is applied to a thick slab of particle board. This is what helps it cost about 50% less than granite.

Similar to the solid surface countertops laminate tops are easy to clean and don’t require above average maintenance. On the downside laminate worktops are not as resilient against heat or damage. To keep the material looking its best you may have to take extra precautions to ensure that you don’t unwittingly damage it.
